Atten­tion poster fans in the Bay Area, Moon­al­ice and UC Santa Cruz will cel­e­brate the pub­lic open­ing of the Grate­ful Dead Archive on Fri­day, June 29, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at McHenry Library (aka Dead Cen­tral) If you can’t attend, Moon­al­ice will be stream­ing this event LIVE for free on Moonalice.com

The cel­e­bra­tion will take place on the south lawn of McHenry Library and fea­ture music from Moon­al­ice, a renowned North­ern Cal­i­for­nia band known for its extended musi­cal impro­vi­sa­tions and strong ties to the Grate­ful Dead.

Admis­sion is free, light refresh­ments will be served, and all those who attend will receive a free copy of the mas­ter­piece pic­tured above by leg­endary artist David Singer!!! (Hat tip to Alton Kelley)

Park­ing for the event will be avail­able in both the Per­form­ing Arts and Hahn Ser­vices lots. Sig­nage at UCSC’s main entrance will guide vis­i­tors to these two lots. Tem­po­rary park­ing per­mits may be pur­chased for $3 from atten­dants in the Per­form­ing Arts and Hahn Ser­vices lots.
