Phil Lesh & Phriends, Warfield, San Francisco, 1999, by Michael Everett

Today, tomorrow, and Friday mark the drinking-age anniversaries of three nights at The Warfield in San Francisco with Phil Lesh, Steve Kimock, John Molo, Trey Anastasio, Page McConnell, and Donna Jean Godchaux-MacKay. This classic Phish/Lesh mashup poster is by Michael Everett. You can listen to the Charlie Miller soundboards here, here, and here.

April 15, of course, is also tax day, which is probably why the show on that night was billed as a benefit. Twenty-one years later, you can still get into the giving spirit of that April night by spreading a little bit of your coronavirus stimulus check (thanks Speaker Pelosi!) on a poster or two by your favorite rock-poster artist, whose gig work has dried up to nothing. Here’s a list of artists and links to their websites to help you send help on its way.
