Haight Street Art Center presents XIX 19th Amendment: 2020 Vision
An art exhibition bringing together 22 female and non-binary artists to reflect on 100 years of the 19th amendment.
The Haight Street Art Center is honored to announce an upcoming exhibition in commemoration of the passage of the 19th Amendment. On August 26 (the day that the Amendment was passed into law), HSAC will unveil in an outdoor display and release for sale online the work of 22 women and non-binary artists. Their art celebrates the achievement of the suffragists, reflects on the complex and troubled history of the suffrage and voting rights movement in the United States, and points to a more hopeful future in which all people, especially those from marginalized communities, have full enfranchisement. We are proud to host their work, and look forward to looking and learning alongside our community about what we can all do to fulfill the true promise of the 19th Amendment.
