We could not be happier to welcome Conscious Alliance to the 2022 Festival of Rock Posters on October 15. Look for them in the Haight Street Art Center courtyard on your left, just before you enter the Hall of Flowers.
This year, Conscious Alliance is celebrating its 20th anniversary of “Art That Feeds” food drives. During the past two decades, Conscious Alliance has distributed 10-million meals to those in need, thanks in no small part to those who bring non-perishable food to “Art That Feeds” concerts headlined by bands such as String Cheese Incident, as well as those purchasing posters whose designs have been donated by artists such as Chuck Sperry. And while we at TRPS tend to associate October with the Festival of Rock Posters, the folks who run Conscious Alliance remind us that October is also “Hunger Awareness Month.”
So a great big thank you to the Haight Street Art Center for providing a place for people to learn more about Conscious Alliance, to all the artists who donate their art to help Conscious Alliance do its good work, and to the staff and supporters of Conscious Alliance itself, whose efforts make sure we don’t forget our brothers and sisters in need, even as we are enjoying ourselves at a rock-‘n’-roll show.
