Chris Gipple, also known as Gipp, is a psychedelic poster artist, illustrator, and designer who has made waves in the music and craft beer industries. Born and raised in Annapolis, Gipple’s love for art and skate culture led him to start designing merchandise, posters, and album covers for local bands as a teenager. After graduating from Towson University with a degree in computer science in 2013, he fully embraced his artistic side, pursuing freelance design projects.
Gipple’s art is known for its bold, vibrant, and surreal psychedelic style, which has landed him collaborations with iconic bands like Primus, Ween, and Umphrey’s McGee, as well as projects with breweries such as Heavy Seas Beer, where he won the prestigious Gold Crushie at the 2020 Craft Beer Marketing Awards. His commercial work spans various industries, including music festivals and branding for businesses like Oddish Wine and Pure Boardshop.
Gipple’s work has been widely celebrated, appearing in publications like CanvasRebel, Wink Magazine, and Dieline, where he continues to push the boundaries of psychedelic art while staying grounded in the creative community that helped shape him.
