bill-ham-lights-logoPainting DVD Reception and Party

Bill Ham will be hosting a Light Painting DVD Reception and Party on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 1002 Scott St in San Francisco, CA from 3pm – 9pm.

I appreciate the opportunity to show my work in such a splendid space. This allows me to display a good representation of a decade or so of my acrylic paintings on canvass as well as my recently released Light Painting DVD. The DVD is a composition of projected spontaneous imagery following fifty years of development.

I am particularly pleased to be able to share my work with this gathering of friends and guests. I would like to thank Mr. Sanguinetti for the use of the room. Also, I would like to give special thanks to Rob Schmitt, Kim Ito, Emi Ito, Kaishi Ito and Lawrence Lauterborn for generously giving their time and skills to bringing this exhibition to fruition. – Bill Ham

We hope to see you there!

Argentina art print by Chuck Sperry

Argentina art print by Chuck Sperry, 2013

Last night artist Chuck Sperry opened the doors of his studio and gallery, Hangar 18 to the public. The H18 studio is where all the magic happens, countless rock posters, movie posters, & art prints get printed here by Chuck and his crew. The H18 Project is an ongoing pop up gallery where collectors are presented with a unique studio experience, visiting the iconic Bay Area artist Chuck Sperry. Last night, in collaboration with Varnish Fine Art, Chuck released his latest art print Argentina before he leaves to attend his art exhibit in Italy.

TRPS members were in attendance, including TRPS Treasurer Ron Schaffer, who took these pictures to share. Enjoy!

Saturday October 8th in San Francisco

Festival of Rock Posters poster by Carolyn Ferris

Our annual Fall Classic, the TRPS Festival of Rock Posters is set to go for Saturday October 8th, 2011 at the Hall of Flowers in Golden Gate Park in the beautiful city of San Francisco.

Featuring rock poster artists and dealers from around the country, this is the biggest rock poster event of its kind anywhere! Those of you who have attended this show in the past know that this is the one not to miss. We bring in the best of the best, and you’ll find everything from vintage psychedelic treasures to the best of the modern silkscreen movement. This year’s version promises to offer another stellar lineup!

The Hall of Flowers (Old County Fair Building) is at the corner of Ninth and Lincoln on the South edge of the Park, not far from the Haight, the DeYoung Museum, and the Academy of Sciences. There are plenty of great restaurants close by, too. Heck, make it a weekend and bring the family to enjoy the great weather, an awesome poster event, and everything else San Francisco has to offer!

The TRPS Festival of Rock Posters runs from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm. Admission is $10 for the public, and $5 for TRPS members with card. Yes, you can join up (or renew) there and take advantage of the member discount.
