TRPS Festival of Rock Posters 2014 poster by Lauren Yurkovich

Our annual Fall Classic TRPS Festival of Rock Posters is confirmed for Saturday October 25th, 2014 at the San Francisco County Fair Building (aka Hall of Flowers) in beautiful Golden Gate Park.

We’re thrilled to announce that Bonnie MacLean Graham will be joining us for her first San Francisco appearance at a TRPS event. The Bill Graham Foundation will be there as well, so this year’s show will be an informal celebration and remembrance of Bill Graham.

We’re also stoked about first-time appearances of AJ Masthay and Adam Pobiak, as well as the return of so many of our favorites.

Blue Rose Ball 2014 benefit rock poster by Stanley Mouse

Blue Rose Ball Benefit 2014 rock poster by Stanley Mouse
In Memory of Joe Capone & Supporting the Old Adobe School
Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Sebastiani Theatre, Sonoma, CA

Scheduled to Appear:

Steve Forbert, Mark Karan, Josh Joplin, Jason Crosby, Kelly Fitzgerald, Drew Harrison, Tim GormanMarc Muller, Dead On Live

Why?

Blue Roses appear throughout history in art, literature and in one iconic 1978 concert poster, as a symbol of love, hope and faith. But, in real life blue roses don’t actually exist. Genetically no one has managed to crack the code and produce a true blue rose, or have they?

On Febuary 8, 2014, our community lost a great friend in Joe Capone. For those of us lucky enough to have known Joe, we had an authentic blue rose in our midst. Joe was that guy that knew how good life was and reminded you often. Anytime you asked Joe how he was doing his answer was always, simply “living the dream…”. He knew how precious life was and he embraced it.

To honor Joe’s life, incredibly well-lived and chock full of love and giving back, we’re assembling some amazing musical talent for the inaugural Blue Rose Ball where we’ll rock and roll and celebrate Joe’s passion for life and music. We’ll also do some real good for the community and raise money to help give more children a chance to get a jump-start on a great education by introducing the Joseph Capone Scholarship Fund at the Old Adobe School in Sonoma, California.

We have gathered together an incredible line-up of world-class musicians who have embraced the message of the evening and the legendary artist Stanley Mouse, has graciously agreed to produce one more blue rose concert poster in honor of the evening. Stanley produced many of the iconic images that symbolized an era and he has lent us his classic blue rose image that once graced the poster for the last show at Winterland on December 31, 1978. The featured acts that night were the Grateful Dead, the Blues Brothers and the New Riders of the Purple Sage. (pictured below)
