I’m pretty late to Michael Gillette’s work, but recently a friend of my son’s gave me a copy of his latest book, Drawn in Stereo, so that oversight on my part has now been corrected. You will find a few rock posters in the 192-page hardback, but I really enjoyed Gillette’s rock-related illustrations, sketches, and paintings, such as this 2015 portrait of David Bowie, one of two “Glam Songbirds” in the book (the other is Brian Eno). Beautiful. DB would have enjoyed this.
