The roster of artists for the October 21, 2023, Festival of Rock Posters at the Hall of Flowers in Golden Gate Park is almost complete. We’ll have an announcement very soon, but in the meantime we thought we’d share some images from a few of the artists who will be attending this year’s Festival of Rock Posters and have created posters for the show.

Dave Kloc's 2023 Artist Relief Trust Poster for TRPS

First up is Dave Kloc, who has drawn a beautiful Artist Relief Trust benefit poster (above) for TRPS. Proceeds from the sale of this poster, which will be available at noon on October 21, 2023, at the Hall of Flowers, will benefit our Artist Relief Trust, which annually disperses funds to rock-poster artists struggling with medical bills or having other financial difficulties. Dave’s poster was printed by VG Kids and will be available in a Blu Raspberry edition of 125, a Banana Split edition of 50, and an Aurora Gold Foil edition of 50 (the foils are courtesy of our good friends at Exceptional Papers). Dave will also have artist copies available. This will be Dave’s second TRPS show (he was in Denver for the Mile High Rock Poster Show just a few months ago) and first TRPS ART poster. Thanks so much Dave!

This year we are positively chuffed to welcome Roger Dean to the Hall of Flowers. While the legendary U.K. artist was unable to attend last year’s show, he designed an extremely memorable screen print for the 2022 event. You can pick up a copy of his print for 2023 at his table in the Hall of Flowers. Welcome to TRPS, Roger!

Returning to the Festival of Rock Posters is our good friend John Seabury, who has designed an image for this year’s publicity postcards, and will have a few poster copies at his table in the Hall of Flowers. Thank you once again, John!

To learn more about Kloc, Dean, and Seabury, pick up a copy of our newly redesigned and upgraded newsletter (which we are now calling a magazine). It features articles on all three artists, a piece by Dennis Larkins (seen above), and much more. And where might you find a copy of this new contribution to rock-art journalism? Well, the only way to get one is to become a member of TRPS! The cost is just $40 a year. Now is the best time to renew your membership so that you get discounted admission at the Festival of Rock Posters ($10 instead of $40 to enter during the all-important first hour), a T-shirt or DVD of your choice, and the new TRPS Magazine. What are you waiting for? Become a member today!

  1. I’m probably already signed up—-but we aren’t getting any younger, so I did it again to cover my bases. “Just Jerry” Radcliff
