Still in an era of not using the computer for printing, I was asked to provide a proof for them to review and the only way I knew how to do that was to physically make the poster and take a photo. I thought Kinfolk was the focus, hence it being large, but had to revise (I misunderstood and thought this was a huge festival or something, rather than a series of shows hosted by YMSB). Happy with the way these turned out, especially with how well the pen lines came out, not too chunky, more flowy. It's weird to look back at something like this, with so many horizontal lines, and know it was entirely eyeballed. For a long time now, I would break out a ruler or use grids on the iPad, to make sure the lines were straight and that text doesn't fall to far over the line one way or the other. Decent squirrel, too, which is tough for me, drawing squirrels; their bodies through their tails make this seemingly impossible wave, unlike so many other animals that can be more like ovals on stick legs. Only thing I might do is clean up the leaves falling from the tree to make sure they don't confuse the lettering. I think I intended for the brown leaves to be more translucent, but I'm happy with how they wrap the tree and stay solid enough to not add any chaos behind the information. I think only maybe three of the Kinfolk ones were ever made.

If you're interested in purchasing one of these, I've got some available. Message or email. Thanks.
